Salisbury senior Katie Stouffer claimed CAC Volleyball Player of the Week honors after posting an astouding 5.67 kills per set in a 4-0 week for the Sea Gulls. Stouffer hit .407 in a quartet of sweeps for Salisbury, earning MVP honors at the Worthington Classic at Gallaudet. She accumlated 68 total kills while registering six blocks, 15 digs, and a pair of service aces.

Christopher Newport is ranked No. 13 and Mary Washington is ranked No. 22 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 ... Mary Washington (15-1), York (16-2), Christopher Newport (12-4), St. Mary's (12-5), Wesley (7-3), Marymount (11-5), Salisbury (11-5), and Wesley (8-7) each have winning records in 2016 ... CAC play opens up on Friday ... CNU senior Maddie McCann earned a spot on the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational All-Tournament team along with fellow senior Hannah Miller ... Frostburg State junior defensive specialist Lindsey Scepura registered 94 digs, handed out 11 assists and served six aces in four matches last week in a 3-1 week for the Bobcats ... Mary Washington sophomore Leslie Walters was named to the All-Tournament team at the Stockton University Invitational as the 22nd-ranked Eagles defeated 10th-ranked Eastern en route to a 5-0 week. Walters hit .420 for the week, with 56 kills against 14 errors in 100 attempts. She added 10 total blocks, 14 digs, and four service aces. The Eagles improved to 15-1 on the season for just the second time in program history ... Marymount senior Cailyn Thomas pieced together a career week on the court, leading the Saints to a 4-1 week. She posted 50 kills for a .477 kill percentage, a career-best through a five-match stretch. At the Worthington Classic, Thomas and senior Emileigh Rettig earned spots on All-Tournament team ... Mia Griffiths helped St. Mary's to a 2-1 week with 111 assists, 25 digs, and five kills. Griffiths notched career-bests of 16 digs and three kills in the four-set win over Mount Saint Vincent. She then dished out a career-best 41 assists in the four-set loss to NYU ... Southern Virginia's Penny Gwynn led the team in kills in every match last week, including 21 in a win over Randolph. She leads the team in kills and kills per set this season ... Jessica Tynes finished the week as Wesley's top attacker, recording three-straight matches of double-digit kills to finish the week. The junior's best performance came against Rutgers-Newark where she recorded 14 kills and 10 digs for a double-double ... York's Brooke Krebs helped lead the Spartans to a 4-1 week with averages of 2.77 kills, 2.85 digs, and 0.54 blocks per set while hitting at .265 clip.
