Complete ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams

Salisbury senior second baseman/pitcher Pete Grasso collected his second Regional Player of the Year award of 2017, this time being named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings South Player of the Year to highlight a group of eight CAC players on the all-region squad. 

Grasso, who was also named the D3baseball.com All-South Region Player of the Year and the CAC Co-Player of the Year, was one of four Sea Gulls on the all-region team. Senior catcher Tom LaBriola was also a first team selection, while sophomore third baseman Jack Barry and senior pitcher Jeff Oster were second team honorees. All for Sea Gulls were also named to the D3baseball.com All-Region team. 

Wesley senior outfielder Trey Mears, the CAC Co-Player of the Year, was a first team honoree for the Wolverines. Junior shortstop Chris Seibert received second team recognition for Wesley. Both Mears and Seibert also receive regional honors from D3baseball.com 

Christopher Newport senior pitcher Michael Thomas collected second team honors, while York senior outfielder Seth Brosius was named to the third team. 

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans will be announced on the evening of Thursday, May 25. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team will be announced on Wednesday, June 21.
