Four the third time in the last four seasons, two CAC baseball teams will compete in the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship as CAC champion Salisbury and Christopher Newport, which earned an at-large bid, will represent the conference in NCAA Regional Tournaments later this week. 

Six teams will compete at three regional sites and eight teams will compete at five regional sites. All regionals will use a double-elimination format. Forty conference champions qualified automatically, while 18 at-large bids were awarded for the 58-team field. The regional tournaments will take place from Thursday through Sunday. 

Winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the pool play double-elimination championship at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin from May 25-29. 

Salisbury, which captured its third straight CAC title vs. Penn State Harrisburg in this past weekend's CAC Championship series, will travel to Auburn, N.Y. for an eight-team regional hosted by SUNY Cortland. 

The Sea Gulls (33-10) were awarded the No. 2 seed in the regional and will open up against seventh-seeded St. Joseph's (Long Island) (26-16) in Thursday's fourth game of the regional at 7:45 p.m. Other New York Regional teams include top-seeded SUNY Cortland (32-10), third-seeded Southern Maine (27-13), fourth-seeded Baldwin-Wallace (31-12), fifth-seeded Swarthmore (33-9), sixth-seeded Amherst (24-12), and eighth-seeded Westfield State (24-16-1). 

CNU (32-10) will play in a six-team regional in North Carolina, and will open against Denison (32-10) in the first round on Thursday at 6:00 pm. The rest of the regional includes Randolph-Macon (31-7-1) vs. LaGrange (28-16) at 11:00 am and TCNJ (28-9) vs. Alvernia (28-13) at 2:30 pm in Thursday's opening round. The double-elimination format will then move to Friday with elimination games beginning at 11:00 am.
