The Salisbury University Athletics Department has announced the four newest members of the Hall of Fame as SU’s Athletics Hall of Fame will now include 121 inductees.

The 2013 class consists of Amy Campion Cohen (Women's Basketball/Women's Tennis), Lisa Gentilella (Softball), Katie Mullinix Johnson (Softball) and Brendan Roddy (Men’s Swimming). Hall of Fame inductees are selected among former student-athletes, coaches and staff members for their success in competition.

The Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is one of the highlights of Salisbury’s Homecoming Weekend and will take place Friday, October 11, 2013. The ceremony, held in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center, begins at 6 p.m. The formal event recognizes the men and women, past and present, whose contributions to Salisbury University athletics have deemed them worthy of induction into the SU Hall of Fame.

Campion Cohen (Class of 2003), widely considered to be the best women’s basketball player to ever play at the University, is the only two-time First-Team All-American and three-time All-Region selection in program history. Campion Cohen was a prolific scorer as she holds the program record for career points (1,938) and single-season records in points (681), points per game (24.3), field goals made (241), three-point field goals made (59) and free throws made (140). A three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection, Campion Cohen was twice named the CAC Player of the Year and also earned the 1999-00 CAC Rookie of the Year award. Additionally, Campion Cohen lettered in tennis and was a two-time First-Team CAC selection in singles play.

Gentilella (Class of 2003), a three-time All-American, ranks fourth in NCAA history in runs scored (202) and 11th in hits (259). During the 2003 season, she led the nation with 58 runs scored and was named the CAC Player of the Year. A three-time First-Team All-Region selection, Gentilella ranks third in program history in triples (10) and fifth in doubles (48). Gentilella was honored as the CAC Rookie of the Year in 2000 and went on to earn three First-Team CAC selections during her illustrious career.

Mullinix Johnson (Class of 2003) was a dual-threat for the Sea Gull softball team as she starred on the mound and at the plate. A two-time All-American and three-time First-Team All-Region selection, Mullinix Johnson ranks fourth in program history with 150 runs batted in and fifth with 55 pitching victories. Mullinix Johnson dominated during the 2002 season as she recorded an NCAA-record 46 starts, led the nation with 35 victories and was named the CAC Player of the Year. She ranks ninth in program history with 206 strikeouts and was honored with CAC First-Team honors three times.

Roddy (Class of 2002) is the only three-time 1650-yard freestyle conference champion (1998-99, 1999-00 & 2000-01) in program history and was named the CAC Male Swimmer of the Year following the 2000-01 season. Roddy, a three-time CAC First-Team selection, also collected a conference title in the 500-yard freestyle during his stellar 2000-01 campaign. He still holds program records in the 500-yard freestyle (4:51.48), 1650-yard freestyle (16:54.65) and 400-yard individual medley (4:22.47). An excellent student, Roddy graduated summa cum laude and returned to the program as an assistant coach (2005-07) while earning his teaching certificate.
