The CAC men's and women's basketball championship games will both be hosted by the top seeds on Saturday with 2 p.m. tip-offs, with Christopher Newport hosting the men's and Marymount hosting the women's.

On the men's side, top-seeded CNU (24-1) welcomes second-seeded Salisbury (21-5) to the Freeman Center for a rematch of last year's title game. The Sea Gulls edged the Captains 58-57 in a thrilling championship game in Salisbury last winter, handing CNU its second-straight title game defeat.

CNU, ranked No. 5 in the nation and first in the Middle Atlantic Region, posted an 18-0 mark against CAC competition during the regular season and held off fourth-seeded St. Mary's, 57-56, in Thursday's semifinals. CNU will carry its 16-game winning streak into Saturday. During the regular season, the Captains defeated Salisbury 71-60 in Dec. 2 and 61-59 in overtime on Feb. 3.

Salisbury, ranked No. 23 in the nation and No. 3 in the region, went 13-5 in the conference regular season. The Sea Gulls defeated third-seeded Mary Washington 83-78 in the semifinals.

For the women, No. 1 Marymount (22-4) hosts No. 3 Mary Washington (23-4), marking the 10th time that these two teams will meet in the CAC title game - easily the most frequent matchup in conference history. The two sides most recently met in the championship in 2013, with Marymount coming out on top, 53-42.

Marymount, ranked fourth in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings, secured its 11th CAC regular season title in program history this season. The Saints advanced to the title game for the 17th time in the 26-year history of CAC women's basketball with a 61-52 triumph over fourth-seeded York in Thursday's semifinals.

Mary Washington, ranked seventh in the regional rankings and 22nd in the nation, returns to the championship tilt for the second straight year, the fourth time in the last five seasons, and the 15th time in program history. The Eagles cruised past sixth-seeded St. Mary's, 78-48, in Tuesday's first round, before defeating second-seeded Christopher Newport 77-63 in the semifinals. The Eagles handed the Saints their only two losses in league play this year, posting a 62-49 win in Arlington on Jan. 16 and a 48-34 home win on Feb. 13.
