The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the sixth week of the 2023 men's basketball season. Christopher Newport freshman Hasan Hammad captured C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hasan Hammad, Christopher Newport

Freshman Hasan Hammad posted his first career double-double and led the 12th-ranked Captains to a 2-1 week. He scored 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds versus Virginia Wesleyan, and then tallied a career-high 19 points and brought down seven boards in a road victory at Wilson College. The youngster has moved into the CNU starting lineup and played a season-high 33 minutes in the Wilson win.
