Christopher Newport’s Jahn Hines Earns C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honors
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2023-24 men's basketball season. Christopher Newport senior Jahn Hines earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week acclaim.
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jahn Hines, Christopher Newport
Jahn Hines has led the Captains to a 4-0 record since mid-December by averaging 23.3 points per game. He was named the MVP of the Captains Shootout after scoring 42 total points in two CNU wins. The senior All-American followed the effort with a career-high 39 points in CNU's victory at Berry on New Year's Day.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Senior guard Zack Blue led Mary Washington to two wins over the holidays, averaging 17.3 points per game in three contests, including a career-high 24 in an overtime victory over Maryville College. In all, he shot 47.2% from the floor (17-36), making 4-12 three point tries and 14-23 free throws. He also added 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. He netted 15 points in a win at Bridgewater, and 13 in a loss at Emory… Salisbury's Reed Rebstock poured in 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, adding five assists and four rebounds vs. Washington (Md.) on Dec. 20th ... Continued double-digit streak with 10 points while adding three boards at Bridgewater (Va.) on Dec. 29th ... Collected second career double-double, tallying 17 points and 10 rebounds at No. 6 Hampden-Sydney on Dec. 30… Zino Okah led UC Santa Cruz in scoring over the five-game homestand. He scored 23 to lead Banana Slugs over Puget Sound on Dec. 20, finishing program's first-ever season sweep over Loggers. Named to UCSC Classic's All-Tournament Team. Had two steals in win over No. 18 WIlliams on Dec. 30, sealing the game with a steal and a coast-to-coast dunk to put Banana Slugs up by 10.
