The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 11th week of the 2023-24 men's basketball season. Mary Washington senior Zack Blue picked up C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Zack Blue, Mary Washington

Blue led Mary Washington to three wins this week, including over conference foe UC Santa Cruz on senior day. He scored 13 in a 72-56 defeat to #24 Johns Hopkins, added 17 in a win at Wilson College on Wednesday, and netted 18 points in wins over Eastern Mennonite and Santa Cruz over the weekend. In all, he scored 16.5 PPG, shooting 47.9% from the field, making 8-19 three-point baskets, and added 14 assists and eight steals.

Zino Okah, UC Santa Cruz; Jordan Oates, Salisbury; Patrick O'Gorman, Pratt

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Zino Okah had a career-high 26 as UC Santa Cruz upset Christopher Newport on Thursday. He made a three-pointer to get halftime lead against the Captains and UCSC never trailed again. Added 21 points on Saturday in comeback win over Salisbury with 13 points in second half.  Wrapped up road trip with seven points in loss to Mary Washington… Jordan Oates logged his ninth and tenth double-doubles of the season (26th and 27th of his career) in the week while continuing to climb the Salisbury record books. Oates began the week with an 11-point, 10-rebound performance against Regent on Jan. 24 while adding three assists, two blocks, and a steal. He followed with a 15-point, 14-board, two-block effort against UC Santa Cruz that vaulted him from eighth to sixth in team history in career rebounds (763). The senior leads the conference in rebounding by nearly four boards a game while ranking fifth in Division III in total rebounds and sixth in rebounds per game… Pratt's Patrick O'Gorman registered game-highs of 16 points and eight rebounds to go along with four assists in a home defeat to Cairn.
