Christopher Newport’s Toa Hollenbeck Earns C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honors
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 12th week of the 2023-24 men's basketball season. Christopher Newport freshman Toa Hollenbeck earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week acclaim.
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Toa Hollenbeck, Christopher Newport
Hollenbeck led the Captains to two victories last week as the squad improved to 18-5 on the season. He came off the bench and tallied 15 points in both victories over Pfeiffer and Salisbury. His consistent efforts also included five rebounds in each win, and he knocked down a total of of five three-pointers, making five-of-12 shots from long range.

Trey Pittman, Mary Washington; Jordan Oates, Salisbury
C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Junior Trey Pittman led Mary Washington to a pair of road nonconference wins this week, averaging 18.5 PPG while shooting a blistering 75% from the floor. On Wednesday night in a 53-44 win at Averett, Pittman scored 14 points on 7-10 shooting from the floor, adding three rebounds in 19 minutes of action. In Friday's 76-47 win at Valley Forge, Pittman led all scorers with 23 points on 11-14 shooting and added six rebounds in 23 minutes. He also swiped a pair of steals in each game this week… Salisbury's Jordan Oates began the week with arguably the best game of his career, crushing his career-high with 34 points while hauling in 13 rebounds against Marymount (Va.), adding three blocks to go with his third consecutive double-double. Oates followed the effort with a 17-point, 11-rebound showing for his fourth consecutive double-double (and 12th of the season) against No. 25 Christopher Newport. Oates ranks third in Division III in total rebounds (272) and fifth per-game (12.4), the best rebounding average in the C2C by nearly five rebounds per game.
