Christopher Newport’s Jahn Hines Earns C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honors
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 13th week of the 2023-24 men's basketball season. Christopher Newport senior Jahn Hines captured C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jahn Hines, Christopher Newport
Hines led the 22nd-ranked Captains to their third straight win on Saturday, beating Mary Washington 80-71. Hines led the way with 24 points, including an 18-point outburst in the first half. The senior All-American made 10 of 16 shots, including four of six from long range. Hines added five rebounds, four steals, and two assists as CNU improved to 19-5 on the season.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Senior Zack Blue led Mary Washington this week, as the Eagles split a pair of contests against conference foes. He scored 16 points on 5-12 shooting in a 64-57 win over Salisbury on Wednesday, and added 14 points in an 80-71 loss at Christopher Newport. He added 3.5 assists per contest… Jordan Oates continued to shine for Salisbury, logging his fifth consecutive double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds in loss at Mary Washington on Feb. 7. Oates has now logged eight 15-plus rebound efforts this season and ranks first in rebounds per game in the C2C by 4.8 boards per contest while tied for third in the league in scoring…
Pratt rookie Jaden Young scored 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds in lone game of the week, a loss at Manhattanville on Tuesday.
