The Mary Washington tennis teams, both ranked among the top 25 teams in the country, completed a weekend sweep of CAC rivals Frostburg State, Stevenson and York with shutout victories on the road Sunday.
The Eagles hosted a pair of doubleheaders Saturday against FSU and non-conference rival Swarthmore, then hit the road for matches Sunday at York and Stevenson.
The 25th-ranked UMW men downed FSU 9-0 and Swarthmore 7-2 Saturday, followed by a pair of shutout victories at York and Stevenson Sunday.
Meanwhile, the 18th-ranked Eagle women's team gained an 8-1 win over Swarthmore and a 9-0 victory over Frostburg State Saturday before matching the men's teams' shutouts against the Spartans and Mustangs Sunday.
The four wins raise the men's record to 8-7 overall, 4-0 to sit atop the CAC standings. The women's team's record improved to 8-4 overall, 3-0 for the top spot in the CAC. Salisbury - 4-2/2-0 CAC for the men's team and 3-0/2-0 CAC on the women's side - is in second place in both standings.
