Mary Washington Men's Tennis Tops Salisbury And York To Take A Commanding Lead In CAC Standings
The Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated both Salisbury and York at the Battleground Tennis Complex Saturday to take a commanding lead in the chase for the 2012 CAC regular-season title.
25th-ranked UMW topped Salisbury, 8-1, then blanked York, 9-0, to improve to 6-0 in CAC play (10-9 overall). Salisbury is in second place with a 2-1 conference record (3-7 overall), followed by St. Mary's (12-2, 1-1 CAC) and York (5-5, 1-2 CAC).
SMC moved into third place by virtue of a 9-0 win over Hood Saturday.
