York Senior Tim Hartung Named to Capital One Academic All-District Men's Track & Field Team

York College senior track and field All-American Tim Hartung (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) added another honor to his considerable resume as he earned Capital One All-District Four Academic All-America Cross Country/Track & Field accolades as announced recently by CoSIDA.

Hartung is now eligible to repeat as a national All-America as he was a third team national selection last year. The Division III Cross Country/Track & Field national All-America squad is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, June 24.

Hartung concluded his career over Memorial Day weekend as he captured a pair of All-American honors in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races at the Division III National Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.

Hartung finished his Spartan career as a seven-time All-American and a five-time Capital Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year. He was undefeated in four Capital Athletic Conference men's cross country championships and led the Spartans to three straight CAC Cross Country team championships.

Hartung earned the 2014 Daniel J. Klinedinst Award, signifying the outstanding senior male athlete at York College. He was finalist for the Capital Athletic Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hartung is a nursing major at YCP and owns a GPA of 3.60. He is the son of Daniel and Barbara Hartung.
