USTFCCCA Honors Mary's Washington's Jason Driscoll As Well As Hood And Salisbury Women's X-C Teams With Academic Award

The U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored Mary's Washington's Jason Driscoll (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield) as well as Hood and Salisbury women's cross country teams with awards for academic and athletic achievement during the 2007 season.

Driscoll finished 39th individually at the NCAA Southeast Regional championship to qualify for the national post-season award.  The USTFCCCA honored student-athletes who finished among the top 25 percent of all competitors in the regional championship and posted at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.

The Hood and Salisbury women's teams were among 141 NCAA Division III teams to be honored.  To qualify, teams were required to record a team score at the NCAA regional championship meet and post a 3.10 cumulative team grade point average during the fall semester.
