Frostburg State's 7th-Place Finish At The Waynesburg Invitational Leads The CAC Men's Cross Country Action From Sept. 8

Frostburg placed 7th overall this past weekend at the Waynesburg Invitational.  Senior Gavin Caupp placed 8th overall, his first top 10 finish since his freshman season in 2009.  Caupp achieved the 8th place finish with a time of 27:34.4.  He was closely Junior Patrick Mead less than a minute later at 28:25.0 for a 17th place finish.  Frostburg will be inactive next week, but will host the Frostburg State University Invitational on September 22nd.

Southern Virginia and St. Mary’s met at the Washington and Lee Invitational.  St. Mary’s made their very first win and Southern Virginia placed 6th overall, respectively.  St. Mary’s narrowly beat out Roanoke for first place by one point.  St. Mary’s Senior Dan Swain achieved his first place finish at 28:57.00 – his best since his 2nd place finish in 2009 at the York Invitational.  The Seahawks are off next week and will appear at the Frostburg State University Invitational on September 22nd.  Southern Virginia will make their way to Virginia for the James Madison Invitational.

Wesley ran at the Delaware State Invitational this past weekend to achieve an overall 7th place finish.  Senior Alex Dello Buono finished 29th with a time of 19:26.64.  Freshman Evan Collotti made his first collegiate appearance for a 22:40.95 ending time.  The Wolverines travel to Princess Anne, MD next weekend for the Cappy Anderson Invitational.
