SU’s Bodmer, CNU’s Stevens Earn C2C Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week Recognition
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2023-24 track and field season. Salisbury's Anna Bodmer claimed C2C Women's Track Athlete of the Week distinction, while Christopher Newport's Katie Stevens received C2C Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Anna Bodmer, Salisbury
Bodmer set a school record in the 10k with a 37:31.90 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Currently leads the C2C in the 10k and is second nationally in Division III.
WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Katie Stevens, Christopher Newport
Stevens moved into the top-20 nationally in three different events during the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational on Saturday at William & Mary. In the hammer, she posted a 48.59-meter launch, which marked the second-best throw of her career and the fourth-longest heave in Division III in 2024. She also moved to 16th in the country in the discus (37.83 meters) and 20th in the shot put (12.14 meters). Her mark in the shot put also established a new PR and marked the eighth-longest toss in school history.

TRACK: Caitlin Donovan, UC Santa Cruz
C2C HIGHLIGHTS
At Hornet Invite in Sacramento, UC Santa Cruz's Caitlin Donovan broke her own 400m school record by 0.65 seconds placing 2nd in her heat in 59.34. Ran lead on 4x400 relay that finished in 4:06.08, the third-best time in program history. Also ran 200m in 26.49.
