The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2023-24 track and field season. UC Santa Cruz's Eric Anderson captured C2C Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while the Banana Slugs Erik Dodge was named C2C Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Eric Anderson, UC Santa Cruz

In first outdoor appearance of the year, the Indoor All-American had a PR in the 1500m at Fanelli Classic in Hayward. he placed fourth in his heat and sixth overall in 3:53.97. In the 800 meters, Anderson finished fifth in heat and 19th overall with a time of 1:52.01, ranking him fifth in the nation.

MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Erik Dodge, UC Santa Cruz

Dodge recorded a PR in the pole vault at the Fanelli Classic, placing third with height of 4.35 meters. He also ran 17.17 in 110 hurdles.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Christopher Newport's Leo Brennan took over the top spot in the conference in the 400-hurdles during the Blue & Silver Challenge on Saturday. In the event, he established a new PR with a 57.42 mark. That stands as the top effort in the league this year by over a full second… Christopher Newport's Latrell Fomby moved to the top of the conference charts in the hammer throw with his effort at the Blue & Silver Challenge on Saturday. In the event, he posted a 48.41-meter toss. That not only marked the top effort by a league competitor this year, but it also established a new PR and moved him to sixth on CNU's all-time performance list.
