The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the sixth week of the 2023 women's basketball season. Mount Mary freshman Brianna Mendez was named C2C Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brianna Mendez, Mount Mary

In two victories for Mount Mary, Mendez averaged 21 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two contests. The freshman shot 15-of-31 from the floor (48.4%) and 10-of-18 from behind the three-point line (55.6%).  Mendez posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 boards versus Northland and had 17 points and nine rebounds at Dominican (Ill.).

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Jordan Carpenter scored 22 points in Mary Washington's 56-40 win over NC Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The senior shot 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds as she notched her eighth double-double of the season. On the defensive end, the Chesterfield, Va. native recorded a trio of steals as she helped the Eagles improve to 8-2 heading into the holiday break… McKenna Snively averaged 10.5 points per game in a pair of wins this week as Christopher Newport improved to 10-0 ... Scored 16 points at Stevenson on 5-8 shooting with four three-pointers ... Shot 41.7 percent from long range (5-12) ... Added 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game ... CNU tied the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball record for consecutive road wins (35) with a pair of victories this week.
