The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2023 women's soccer season. Christopher Newport's Hanna Heaton was named C2C Offensive Player of the Week, while the Captains Reanna Slater took home C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hanna Heaton, Christopher Newport

Factored into three of the four goals scored against Salisbury this week, including scoring the game-winning goal in the first half. She added an assist in the first half on the second goal and wrapped up her terrific afternoon with an assist on the fourth goal early in the second half. She led the team in total shots, with five, including putting two on frame. Hanna took over the team's scoring lead with the performance, pouring in 13 points on four goals and five assists in her first season as a Captain.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Reanna Slater, Christopher Newport

Junior center back led another dominant defensive performance by the Captains by serving as the only CNU player to log all 90 minutes in a 4-0 win on the road against Salisbury. She has now played in 14 straight complete games and has been on the field for all but two minutes this year (99.86 percent of possible minutes). She and the rest of the CNU defense held Salisbury to just three total shots and zero corner kicks. The Captains registered a ninth consecutive shutout and ran it's recod-breaking shutout streak to over 839 consecutive minutes without surrendering a goal.

OFFENSIVE: Amelie Stoddard, Pratt

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Pratt senior Amelie Stoddard scored four goals and added an assist to record her first collegiate hat-trick and lead the Cannoneers to an 11-0 Senior Night victory over Medgar Evers College.
