Mary Washington Outduels Salisbury To Improve To 6-0 In CAC Women's Tennis Action; St. Mary's Wins At Hood To Move Into Second Place

Mary Washington won the regular-season showdown between historically the top two teams in CAC women's tennis Saturday when the Eagles defeated Salisbury, 7-2. 

No. 21-ranked UMW improved to 9-4 overall, 6-0 in the CAC, while the Sea Gulls fall to 5-7 overall, 2-1 in the CAC.

St. Mary's opened conference play with a 6-3 win at Hood to move into second place in the conference standings.  The Seahawks (8-3, 1-0 CAC), who trailed 2-1 after the doubles matches, won five of six singles battles to move into second place in the conference standings.
