Mary Washington's Erin Andrewlevich Collects Athlete of the Year Honors to Headline 2019 CAC Outdoor T&F Awards
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Mary Washington junior Erin Andrewlevich was selected as the CAC Women's Outdoor Athlete of the Year to headline the 2019 All-CAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field team. Southern Virginia freshman Baylee Mulitalo and Mary Washington head coach Kunle Lawson collected the other top honors as Rookie and Coach of the Year, respectively.
Andrewlevich broke the CAC and meet record in the 400 meters at 55.83, and also broke the meet record in the 200 meters in placing first at 24.87. She also finished first in the 100 meters at 12.40. She becomes the 13th Eagle to earn Athlete of the Year honors as she led Mary Washington to the team championship.
Mulitalo, who also secured Rookie of the Year honors at the indoor championships, becomes the first Southern Virginia athlete to win Outdoor Rookie of the Year. Mulitalo won the shot put and finished second in the discus throw for the Knights at the championships.
Lawson was voted as Coach of the Year by his peers for the first time in his career and is the 13th Mary Washington head coach to earn the presitigious honor after guiding the Eagles to their first women's outdoor title since 2009. This marks the 17th time the UMW women have captured the CAC outdoor title.
