2nd-Seeded Frostburg State Volleyball Shuts Out Pitt-Bradford In First Round Of NCAA Regional Tournament
Sarah Stephens and Jamie Thomas had 14 and 11 kills, respectively, to lead the Frostburg State volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of seventh-seeded Pitt-Bradford in the NCAA Regional at Frostburg.
The second-seeded Bobcats hit .278, including .378 in game two
to earn the win. Game one was the closest of the match as FSU
won 25-22. Frostburg posted 25-14 and 25-18 wins in the final two
sets.
Frostburg State and third-seeded SUNY Cortland will now square off
in the semifinals tomorrow night at 6:00 pm. Cortland State
advanced to the regional semifinal with a 3-2 victory over
sixth-seeded Case Western.
