Mary Washington’s Crosen, Salisbury’s Rail Collect C2C Women's Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2023 women's volleyball season. Mary Washington's Chloe Crosen earned C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Salisbury's Grace Rail received C2C Defensive Player of the Week recognition.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chloe Crosen, Mary Washington

Junior Chloe Crosen led #22 Mary Washington to three sweep victories this week, hitting .585 with 26 kills against just two errors in 41 attempts. She scored nine kills against two errors in 19 attempts with two solo blocks in a 3-0 win at Marymount, then turned in a flawless Saturday in UMW's 3-0 wins over St. Lawrence and Virginia Wesleyan, with 17 kills and no errors in 22 attempts.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Grace Rail, Salisbury

Grace Rail racked up 30 digs (6.00 per set) over five sets of the Sea Gulls' sweeps of Christopher Newport and Warren Wilson on Saturday. In the CNU match, Rail put up 20 digs, the 19th of which gave her 1,000 for her Sea Gull career.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Natalie Uibel powered down eight kills apiece in Salisbury's three-set sweeps of Christopher Newport and Warren Wilson on Saturday. UIbel swuing .304 over the two matches, including a

.400 clip (eight kills, no errors) against Warren Wilson… Alyssa Dozier led Christopher Newport with 14 kills against Salisbury and was the only player on either team with double-digit kills...Averaged 3.75 kills per set across two matches, hitting .500… Warren Wilson's KJ Helinsky posted 27 kills against Johnson & Wales (NC), then had 12 against Brevard, 12 versus Salisbury, and 6 at Christopher Newport in a 1-3 week… Mount Mary's Brianna Ecker piled up 24 kills and 20 digs in losses to Maranatha Baptist and Alverno. Ecker now has 972 career kills, just 28 shy of 1,000… Junior Hannah Livermon led #22 Mary Washington defensively this week, with 46 digs and 35 receptions with just three receiving errors. She had 13 digs in a win at Marymount, 15 in a win over St. Lawrence, and 18 in a key 3-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan…

Christopher Newport's Megan James averaged 3.44 digs per set across three matches this weekend...Posted a season high 19 digs against Salisbury...Added six service aces and two kills… Lillian Demeglio, a Warren Wilson freshman, had 47 digs this week and has 204 digs this season.
