FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Wesley senior Chris Seibert and St. Mary's freshman Will Spanoghe were honored as the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for March 19, 2018.

Wesley senior Chris Seibert was named the CAC Player of the Week after hitting .647 (11-for-17) with three home runs, eight RBIs, eight runs scored and three doubles in a 4-2 week for the Wolverines. Seibert registered at least one hit in all six games, and scored at least once in five of the six games. For the week, he reached base at a .700 clip and slugged 1.353. Additionally, he tied Wesley's career home run record with 21 homers.

St. Mary's freshman Will Spanoghe earned CAC Pitcher of the Week accolades after picking up a complete-game victory with a season-best seven strikeouts in the Seahawks 6-2 victory over D'Youville. Spanoghe walked just one batter through is 7.0 inning of work, and the two runs that crossed the plate were both unearned.

In the D3baseball.com week 3 rankings, Frostburg State is ranked No. 14 and Christopher Newport is ranked No. 16 while Salisbury is receiving votes ... In the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll, Christopher Newport is No. 16, Frostburg State is No. 19 and Salisbury is receiving votes ... CNU sophomore Alex Abbey earned his first two starts of the year at DH and helped CNU run it's win streak to six straight games. Abbey drove in five with two-hit efforts against Virginia Wesleyan and Averett, and helped the Captains come from behind to win 14-10 at Virginia Wesleyan, driving in three runs ... Frostburg State senior Patrick Bosley led the Bobcats to a 7-3 win over 13th-ranked Shenandoah, going 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored. Bosley delivered a key ninth-inning double that scored three and put Frostburg State ahead comfortably. Sophomore Mike Livingston notched his second save of the year with a four-inning relief effort against Shenandoah. He allowed two hits and recorded two strikeouts in a scoreless four innings of work. Livingston has not allowed a run in three of five relief appearances this season, and owns a 1.69 ERA ... Junior shortstop Ramsis Ruiz helped Mary Washington to a 2-0-1 week, batting .667 (10-for-15), with two doubles, five RBI, 10 runs scored, and four stolen bases. He had five hits in a win over Southern Vermont with five runs scored and three RBI, and went 2-4 against the Mountaineers the next day. He went 3-5 with two runs scored in a tie with Bridgewater on Thursday. He is batting .410 with 28 runs scored and 15 RBI in 18 games this season ... Marymount junior Luke Tyree had a strong game against Tufts on Saturday, launching his first-collegiate grand slam to spark a 10-2 victory over the Jumbos. He finished the game with two runs, four RBIs, and a walk ... Penn State Harrisburg junior Miguel Torres hit .500 (6-for-12) with four RBIs, two triples and two runs scored in a 2-1 weekend for the Lions ... Holden Marshall led St. Mary's in a 2-1 weekend with a .500 batting average on five hits in 10 at-bats. Marshall notched career-bests of three hits and three RBI in Sunday's loss to D'Youville ... Salisbury senior Scott Ardoin hit .364 last week with four hits, including a double and a triple, and helped lead SU to wins over Catholic and New Jersey City. Senior Connor Reeves made two relief appearances last week, collecting a save in a 3-1 win over the Catholic and earning the win in 7-6 extra-innings walk-off win against New Jersey City. He pitched six combined innings, striking out 10 batters in the process ... Wesley's Alex Marrs had a no-hit bid go into the fifth inning and Neumann. He struck out seven batters while only allowing two hits, two walks and a run in the no-decision ... York freshman Jack Barry hit .500 with 10 RBIs, two runs scored, two doubles and a home run in a 1-2 week for the Spartans.  Senior Joel Kenney earned York's lone win for the week in the opening game against Immaculata on Sunday. Kenney allowed a trio of unearned runs in the first inning but then settled in and tossed seven strong innings allowing five hits and one more run with four strikeouts and three walks as he picked up his first win of the year. At one point in the middle of the game, Kenney retired 11 straight hitters as he gave the Spartans seven strong innings.
