YORK, Pa. -- Wesley sophomore Eman Amao and Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Brandon Hoover were named the CAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week for Oct. 27, 2014.

Wesley sophomore Eman Amao earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after notching a goal and two assists in an overtime victory at Mary Washington. Amao assisted on the Wolverines' first two scores, before netting the game-winner in overtime. 

Defensive Player of the Week

Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Brandon Hoover was awarded as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 12 saves in helping the Lions secure a CAC playoff bid with a pair of key wins last week. Hoover opened the week with four saves in a shutout 1-0 triumph over Frostburg State, before turning back eight shots in a 3-1 triumph over 11th-ranked Christopher Newport.

Wednesday marks the final CAC regular season contest for all 10 conference squads. The CAC playoffs begin on Saturday, Nov. 1 with the #3 seed hosting the #6 seed and #4 seed hosting the #5 seed ... Salisbury (5-1-2), Mary Washington (5-3), Penn State Harrisburg (5-3) and St. Mary's (5-3) have all secured berths in the CAC playoffs ... Christopher Newport (2nd) and Salisbury (5th) are both ranked in the South Atlantic Regional rankings ... Christopher Newport is ranked #11 in last week's NSCAA National Rankings, while Salisbury is ranked #15 ... In the D3soccer.com top 25, Salisbury is ranked #16 and Christopher Newport is #17 ... Sophomore Riley Fisher scored a pair of goals as Mary Washington dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime to Wesley on Saturday. He leads the Eagles with eight goals on the season ... Penn State Harrisburg junior Aaron Kline scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Frostburg State and tallied another score in the Lions' 3-1 win over Christopher Newport.
