Christopher Newport's Grace and St. Mary's Kearson Collect United Soccer Coaches All-America Honors

Christopher Newport senior Jimmy Grace and St. Mary's junior Juwan Kearson received All-America honors from the United Soccer Coaches. Grace was named a first-team All-American for the second-straight year, while Kearson collected third-team accolades.

Nine from CAC Earn United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region Accolades

Nine Capital Athletic Conference men's soccer players have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region Team, announced by organized on Tuesday evening. Christopher Newport earned a conference-leading four spots in the all-region squad, Mary Washington had three players honored, and St. Mary's was represented by a pair of all-region honorees.

Christopher Newport senior midfielder Jimmy Grace was named Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second year in a row to lead the 2017 All-CAC Men's Soccer Team. Mary Washington head coach Jason Kilby was also a repeat winner as Coach of the Year, while UMW freshman Jeremy Hokenson earned the other major award as Rookie of the Year.

Five CAC Teams to Compete in ECAC Championship Tournaments

Five CAC fall sports teams will continue their seasons this week after receiving bids to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament. Frostburg State volleyball, Marymount volleyball, Frostburg State women's soccer, and Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's soccer teams will vie for ECAC titles, beginning Wednesday night with volleyball first-round action.
