ophomore Amber Kerico and freshman Katie Fago picked up individual awards and were among the six Mary Washington women’s swimmers to earn all-conference recognition in three individual events, leading Mary Washington to its 23rd-straight CAC title. Kerico, the 2012 CAC Co-Rookie of the Year, was selected as the Athlete of the Year while Fago was picked by the CAC coaches as the Women’s Rookie of the Year. They were joined on the trophy podium by third-year coach Abby Brethauer, who picked up her second Coach of the Year honor.
