Mary Washington junior Alex Anderson secured his second gold medal of the 2014 NCAA Swimming Championships and third overall with a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly, while York sophomore Kyle Walthall earned All-America accolades in the 100 breastroke on Friday at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Mary Washington student-athletes combined to win all 18 events at the 2014 CAC Women’s Swimming championships at St. Mary’s Feb. 21-23. The Eagles also finished second in 10 of the 13 individual events. Combined, that means UMW collected 28 of a possible 31 All-CAC Women’s Swimming awards for the 2013-14 season.

Mary Washington swept the gold-medal finishes in each of the 18 events throughout the weekend, securing its 24th-straight CAC Women's Swimming Championship on Sunday with a three-day total of 1,032 points.

The CAC Championship will begin with trials on Friday (2/21) at 10 a.m., and have six competitive sessions over three days. Sunday, following the annual Senior Recognition celebration, the final six events will lead to the crowning of the 2014 championship teams.

Frostburg State and Mary Washington each picked up victories in men's and women's swimming over the weekend. Mary Washington improved to 2-0 in the CAC in both the men's and women's standings with conference triumphs over Salisbury on Saturday. The Eagles have captured five straight victories, while the Sea Gulls dropped to 2-2 in the CAC on the men's side and 1-3 on the women's.

Sophomores Stephanie Hallock and Hannah Hagy have been inseparable since their first day on campus, and into their second season for the University of Mary Washington women's swim team. Both members have had success in the pool, leading UMW to its 24th consecutive CAC Championship last February, and both are again key members of this year's team, which has already beaten one Division I foe, and topped nationally-ranked Washington & Lee University. With that in mind, we give you the first-ever tag team effort for our Introducing feature - Stephanie Hallock and Hannah Hagy, or "Stannah".
