St. Mary's senior Cara Machlin was chosen as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after pacing the Seahawks with three first-place finishes in a win over Salisbury in their regular-season finale. Trailing 96-92 heading into the final event, Machlin swam the third leg on the winning 200 freestyle relay which locked up the 103-102 victory.

Mary Washington Senior Stephanie Hallock Secures CAC Women's Swimming Weekly Award

Mary Washington senior Stephanie Hallock was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after helping the Eagles to a 5-0 start with five individual victories and seven relay wins in the Eagles' opening two weeks of the season. The reigning CAC Swimmer of the Year, Hallock won the 50 and 100 freestyles against Washington & Lee, the 200 freestyle against Catholic, the 50 and 100 freestyle in a tri-meet with Frostburg State and Franciscan, and also contributed to seven relay wins. Hallock's top time in the 50 freestyle (24.65) ranks 13th in the nation, while her top 100 freestyle mark (53.99) ranks 20th.
