YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport sophomore Logan Eldridge was named the CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for Feb. 24, 2015.

Christopher Newport sophomore Logan Eldridge was named the CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after posting 5-0 marks in both singles and doubles to help the Captains to a 4-1 start this spring. In singles play, Eldridge is 3-0 at No. 4 and 2-0 at No. 5. In doubles, she has paired with Alexandra Drye for a 5-0 start at the No. 3 position. Her wins include triumphs over Division I Norfolk State, as she contributed to both of CNU's two points in the match.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Junior Chrissy Gaul has led No. 22 Mary Washington to a 3-1 start, including a win over Division I George Mason so far. She has gone a perfect 3-0 at three singles, and 1-1 at two doubles. In singles play, she has picked up three set wins against Division I Longwood and George Mason, and took a straight sets win against NC Wesleyan. In doubles, she won an 8-3 decision with Ashley Price at two doubles ... Salisbury's Natalie Savage has gone 3-1 in both No. 1 singles and doubles play in the first two weeks of the season, with her only losses coming to Division I opponents. In her three singles wins, Savage has surrendered a total of five games.
