Salisbury Senior Katie Youlios Tabbed as CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Katie Youlios was named the CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 10, 2015.

Salisbury senior Katie Youlios secured CAC Player of the Week accolades after posting a perfect 5-0 record in her five matches in the past two weeks. Youlios went 2-0 at No. 2 singles and teamed with Natalie Savage for a 3-0 mark at No. 1 doubles. In singles play, Youlios grabbed a 6-2, 7-5 win in Salisbury's victory against Millsaps (the No. 12 team in the region), and a 7-5, 7-5 win against Haverford (No. 15 team in region). In doubles play, Youlios and Savage won 8-6 in a match against Millsaps' top doubles pair, which is ranked No. 11 in the region. They won 8-6 against the top pairs from both Haverford and Franklin & Marshall. She was up 3-2 in her singles match against F&M before the match was postponed.

Mary Washington is ranked No. 23 in the ITA National Rankings and No. 6 in the Atlantic South Region, while Christopher Newport (No. 8) and Salisbury (No. 11) are also in the regional rankings ... UMW and CNU spent their spring breaks in California last week, while York took its annual spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C. ... Frostburg State travels to Mary Washington on Friday for the first CAC match of the year ... Kate Huck helped CNU post a 3-2 record on a tough road trip to California over spring break. Huck went a team-best 4-1 in singles, including the only Captain win against 19th-ranked La Verne at No. 6 singles. She dropped just one game in her other three singles victories ... Kait Brogan led No. 23 Mary Washington to a pair of match wins over nationally-ranked opponents in California last week, winning two of three singles matches at five and sweeping all three doubles matches at three. She and doubles partner Alina Suyama are now 6-0 for the season in doubles play ... Shannon Ramsey remained undefeated on the season at 4-0 as St. Mary's posted a 5-4 win over Goucher. Ramsey won a three-setter (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) at No. 1 singles, rallying in the third set from 5-4 down for the win.
