YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport junior Rachel Conway was tabbed as the CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 23, 2014.

Christopher Newport junior Rachel Conway was selected as the CAC Volleyball Player of the Week after claiming MVP honors at the Juniata / Asics Invitational while leading the Captains to a perfect 3-0 record, including a victory over No. 6 Juniata. During the tournament she averaged 10.27 assists-per-set, including 45 against Juniata. She also contributed a season-high six blocks, including three solo stops, in the five-set victory over the host Eagles. Overall, she finished second on the team with 10 blocks during the three matches.

Christopher Newport is ranked #12 in the AVCA Coaches' Poll ... CNU's Rachel Conway reached 1,500 career assists last week, becoming just the seventh player in program history to reach that benchmark ... Marymount went 3-0 last week to improve to 14-2 on the year ... Mary Washington split four matches at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Head coach Matt Troy won his 100th collegiate match in a 3-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg ... In Wesley's 3-1 victory over Gwynedd-Mercy, the Wolverines notched a school single-match record 62 kills and 59 assists ... York senior Katie Huston was named to the All-Tournament team at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Tournament.
