Rochester Scores Game-Winning Goal With :07 Remaining To Top Salisbury 3-2 In Second Round NCAA Field Hockey Tournament

Box Score

Rochester's Callie Fisher deflected a crossing pass into the back of the cage with :07 left in regulation to gain a 3-2 victory over seventh-ranked Salisbury Saturday in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.

Salisbury, which tied for the 2015 CAC regular-season championship and won the playoff title in overtime at Mary Washington, finished the season with a 14-4 overall record.

Michelle Relin scored the only goal of the first half to give Rochester a 1-0 lead at the break.  Courtney Jantzen evened the match just 25 seconds into the second half with her 13th goal of the season for the Gulls.

Claire Dickerson regained the lead for the Yellow Jackets in the 44th minute of the match, but again Salisbury rallied to even the score on Abbey Shobe's third goal of the season with less than 20 minutes remaining in regulation.

That set the stage for Fisher's game-winning score off a pass from the corner with :07 left, sending the 20th-ranked Yellow Jackets (18-5) into Sunday's national quarterfinal clash against Ursinus, which defeated Steven's Tech by a 10-0 margin in Saturday's other game in Collegeville, Pa.
