York Places Fourth At The Annual Glenmaura Invitational; Christopher Newport Third At The Glen Heath Memorial Tournament

York placed fourth out of 11 teams after the final round of the two-day Glenmaura Invitational golf tournament Sunday and Monday.  Meanwhile, Christopher Newport placed third at the annual Glen Heath Memorial Tournament.

York finished fourth at the 12-team Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Scranton on Monday in Glenmaura, PA. The Spartans posted a day two score of 330 as the windy conditions significantly increased all the team scores after a great day for golf on Sunday. The Green and White finished with a two-day total of 642. McDaniel won the tournament with a total score of 623 while Scranton finished second at 627. Susquehanna eased past the Spartans to finish third at 639. Swarthmore rounded out the top five at 643.  The Spartans were led by junior David Boslough as he matched his day one total with a six-over-par 77. Boslough fired a 37 on the front and a 40 on the back as he finished tied for third in the 58-player field.

At the Glen Heath Memorial Tournament, Christopher Newport's Tyler Bennett carded an eight-over-par 152 to place fifth overall individually and lead the Captains to third place out of eight teams. Patrick Johnson finished eighth overall with a two-day total of 157 as the Captains landed four golfers among the top 13 in the tournament individual standings.  Dylan Chessher was Wesley's top finisher, tying for 24th place overall, with a two-day total of 171, but the Wolverines did not post a team score.

Penn State Harrisburg ranked eighth out of 16 teams at the F&M Spring Invitational.  The Lions were led by Matt Hoare, who was tied for 12th with a 75, and Tyler Serves, who tied for 27th overall with a 78.

William Paterson's dual match vs. SUNY-Purchase was cancelled.
