Frostburg State Seeded Second In The ECAC South Men's Soccer Tournament; Bobcats To Host Marywood In Wednesday's First Round

The Frostburg State University men's soccer team received word
earlier this afternoon that is has been selected as the No. 2 seed
in the 2012 ECAC South Region Tournament that starts on Wednesday,
Nov. 7.
The second seed awards FSU (12-2-4) with a first round home game
and the Bobcats will host seventh seeded Marywood (Pa.) (10-6-3) on
Wednesday at Bobcat Stadium. A time has yet to be determined.
Both FSU and MU enter the ECAC's having won two of their last three
games while both lost in the semifinals of their conference
tournaments. Frostburg is making its second-consecutive trip to the
ECAC Tournament.
Penn State Behrend earned the overall top seed with a 16-4 overall
record. The Lions will host No. 8 seed La Roche (9-9) in the first
round on Wednesday evening. The two schools battled during the
regular season with Behrend capturing a 2-1 win.
Because of their top seed, the Lions will host the semifinals and
finals on Saturday, Nov. 10, and Sunday, Nov. 11. If PSB loses its
opening round match and FSU defeats Marywood, the semifinals and
finals will run through Frostburg.
The other first round matchups feature No. 6 Neumann at No. 3
Lebanon Valley and No. 5 Penn State Abingdon at No. 4 Alvernia.
