Seven CAC Soccer Players Named To Capital One Academic All-District Teams

Seven CAC soccer players, including four from Frostburg State, were named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and will be eligible for the Academic All-America squad.
To qualify for the Capital One Academic all-America program, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant reserve on his/her team, at least a sophomore academically and carry a 3.30 or better grad point average (GPA).
The only CAC representative on the All-District men's soccer team was Frostburg State senior forward Shawn Baker, who was named to the District II squad. Baker is a health and physical education major with a 3.43 GPA.
On the women's side, three of the five players named to the District II squad were also Bobcats - senior defender Liz Proctor, junior forward Adria Graham and sophomore forward Stephanie Fazenbaker. Proctor is an athletic training major with a 3.75 GPA; Graham is also an athletic training major with a 4.00 GPA; and Fazenbaker is a biology major with a 4.00 GPA.
Also on the District II squad were Salisbury sophomore goalkeeper Michelle Conrad and St. Mary's senior defender Liz Sitz. Conrad is an accounting major with a 3.72 GPA while Sitz is a psychology major with a 3.78 GPA.
On the women's District IV team was York sophomore goalkeeper Melanie Glessner, who is a sociology major boasting a 3.92 GPA.
