One For The Thumb! ... York Captures 5th-Straight CAC Men's Soccer Title With 1-0 Victory At Salisbury

Jake Hower's seventh goal of the season, a header off a Chris Weaver crossing pass in the 11th minute, proved to be the only goal of the match as second-seeded York downed top-seeded Salisbury, 1-0, in the 2013 CAC men's soccer championship game.

The victory gave the Spartans (17-2-1) their fifth-straight CAC title and an automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Championship Tournament.  YCP is ranked fourth in the NCAA South Atlantic Region this week.

The Sea Gulls (17-3-0), who have played YCP seven times in the CAC title game in the last 11 years, are ranked third in the NCAA South Atlantic Region and will hope for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament.
