York's men's soccer season came to a close on Saturday night with a 3-1 defeat to host Rutgers-Camden in the NCAA Sweet 16 in Camden, N.J.

The CAC champion Spartans end the season with an overall mark of 19-3-1, while the Scarlet Raptors (21-0-2) advance to the Elite Eight against Montclair State, a 1-0 winner over Rochester in the other matchup in Camden.

The Scarlet Raports jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime and extended their cushion to 3-0 with a score in the 51st minute. Brendan Saberton finished a feed from Ryan Donahue in the 58th minute to pull York within 3-1, but the Spartans would get no closer.
