York's Aaron Beale and Christopher Newport's Jalon Brown Earn NSCAA All-America Nods

2013 NSCAA All-America Teams

A pair of CAC men's soccer players were awarded as NSCAA All-Americans for their performance throughout the 2013 season. 

York senior defender Aaron Beale claimed first team accolades, while Christopher Newport junior forward Jalon Brown earned second team honors.  

The fourth player in York history to secure first team All-America recognition, Beale helped the Spartans capture its fifth straight CAC title and a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 this past fall. He anchored the Spartan backline that allowed just 14 goals, with a goals against average of 0.60, and posted 14 shutouts on the year. Beale added two goals and four assists from his defensive position. 

Brown, the CAC Player of the Year, grabs All-America honors for the second straight season after earning first team recognition in 2012. He led the conference in points (37), goals (14), and assists (9), and ranked 28th nationally in points per game. Brown and the Captains tallied a 13-5-2 overall mark this fall and advanced to the CAC semifinals before falling to eventual champion York in penalty kicks.
