Six From CAC Named ECAC Men's Soccer All-South Region All-Stars

Complete ECAC Men's Soccer All-South Region Team

Six men's soccer players from the CAC were named to the ECAC All-South Region second team. Salisbury led the way with three all-stars, while Frostburg State, Penn State Harrisburg and Wesley each landed one player on the squad.

For Salisbury, seniors Logan BeckerKyle Westbrook and Tanner East earned second team honors.

Starting center back Becker is making his second appearance on the all-star team, earning first-team honors last season. He has now accumulated four accolades in his senior season, earning a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Atlantic South first team, a spot on the All-CAC first team, and was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week back on November 3.

Second-year captain Westbrook made ECAC all-star team the first time in his collegiate career. This is his fifth honor of the year. Westbrook earned a spot on the NSCAA All-Atlantic South third team, the All-CAC first team, the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team, and was named CAC Defensive Player of the Week on September 8.

Starting attacker East landed a spot on the all-star team for the second-consecutive season, earning a spot on the first team in 2013. East also earned a spot on the All-CAC first team at the conclusion of the season to add to his postseason accolades. East led the Gulls on the offensive front, posting a team-high 18 points off seven goals and four assists.

Frostburg State sophomore Hassan Mostafa emerged as one of the nation's top goaltenders this fall, finishing second in the nation in save percentage (.905) and eighth in goals against average (.476) after registering nine shutouts in 18 games. He made 86 saves and allowed just nine goals, while leading the Bobcats to the CAC Tournament. He had a run of six-consecutive shutouts in September and allowed more than one goal in just one contest all season. Late last week, Mostafa was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Region Third Team while collecting All-Capital Athletic Conference First Team honors.

Penn State Harrisburg's Aaron Kline earned second team honors. A junior transfer from Division II Bloomsburg, Kline made an immediate impact for the Lions. Kline led the Blue and White with eight goals, three being game winners, and added two assists. Kline also helped Harrisburg to a 14-6-1 record and a second place finish in both the CAC regular season and postseason tournament as well as an ECAC South runner-up finish.

Wesley sophomore Eman Amao also received second team accolades from the ECAC. A sophomore, Amao, led the Wolverines with 18 points on a team-high seven goals along with four assists.  Amao recorded game-winning goals at Cabrini and at Mary Washington and was also the only offensive player in the CAC to earn Offensive Player of the Week twice this season. Despite missing three games, Amao still finished third in the CAC in overall points and tallied three goals with two assists in conference games. He earned All-CAC first team recognition earlier this year.
