UCSC’s Seymour, SU’s Christman Receive C2C Women's Track and Field Weekly Honors

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2024-25 track and field season. UC Santa Cruz's Kenzie Seymour earned C2C Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Salisbury's Emma Christman was named C2C Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kenzie Seymour, UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Cruz sophomore Kenzie Seymour made headlines for the Banana Slugs in this 3k steeplechase, setting a new program record time of 10:52.21 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. Seymour's time gave her second place overall among NCAA Division I competitors and stands as the seventh fastest time ran in NCAA Division III so far this season.
WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Emma Christman, Salisbury
Salisbury junior Emma Christman posted a school record in the triple jump at 11.37 meters (37-3.75), which placed her seventh at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Adalyn Perez set a new PR and anchored a record-setting relay during the 59th Annual Colonial Relays last week. On Friday, she shaved eight seconds off her personal-best in the 1500 after clocking in at 4:49.69. On Saturday, she came back and helped the 4x1500-relay post a time of 19:56.28. That eclipsed the previous school record of 19:56.63, which was established in 2016… Mary Washington first year Jasmin Deane continued her dominant spring with a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters at the Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Saturday. Dean finished in fourth place overall, with a time of 24.42. She ranks eighth in the nation in the 200… Salisbury's Anna Bodmer earned a 2nd-place finish in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:21.36, which set a new school record at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason University… Christopher Newport's Ellie Nuckols established a new personal-best in the long jump with a 5.50-meter distance on Friday at the 59th Annual Colonial Relays. That added nearly three inches to her previous PR, marked the top effort by a Captain in two years, and vaulted her to 34th on the national leaderboard this season.
