YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State senior Stephanie Fazenbaker and Christopher Newport sophomore Haley Casanova were named the CAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Nov. 3, 2014.

Frostburg State senior Stephanie Fazenbaker was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after posting two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week as the Bobcats advanced to the CAC Tournament semifinals. Fazenbaker began the week by scoring both goals in Frostburg State's 2-1 victory over Southern Virginia, clinching the No. 4 seed in the CAC Tournament for the Bobcats. In Saturday's first round showdown with York, she delivered the assist on Chelsie McCoy's game-winner in the final minute of regulation.

Christopher Newport sophomore Haley Casanova was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after making five saves in a shutout win over Salisbury to clinch the top seed in the CAC Tournament for the Captains. The clean slate was her fourth solo shutout of the season and lowered her goals against average to a league-best 0.65.

Wednesday's CAC semifinals will feature #1 Christopher Newport hosting #4 Frostburg State and #2 Salisbury hosting #6 Mary Washington ... Christopher Newport is ranked 5th in the NCAA South Atlantic Regional Rankings ... Christopher Newport's Danielle Pratt scored lone goal in the Captains 1-0 triumph over Salisbury, giving the Captains the top seed in the CAC Tournament. CNU picked up its second straight regular season title, improving to 15-1-1 in the regular season. CNU's scoring leader, sophomore Victoria Perry, assisted on the goal by Pratt, scoring her 35th point of the season ... Mary Washington freshman Taylor Decker broke out with a goal and an assist in UMW's 3-2 win at St. Mary's in the first round of the CAC Tournament on Saturday. She has two goals and three assists in the Eagles' past three games ...  ... St. Mary's finished the 2014 season with a 9-6-3 (6-2-1 CAC) record for the most wins (9) since 2008 while matching a program-best six conference wins for the fourth time in school history.
