YORK, Pa. -- York sophomore Maxine Herman and St. Mary's freshman Katie Flores were awarded as the CAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Oct. 26, 2015. 

Offensive Player of the Week

York sophomore Maxine Herman was awarded the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a goal in both games to help the Spartans secure a CAC postseason berth with a pair of conference wins last week. In a 4-3 victory over Penn State Harrisburg, Herman notched the game's opening goal. In a 2-1 triumph over Southern Virginia, she again got the Spartans on the board with a header off a corner kick. 

Defensive Player of the Week

St. Mary's freshman Katie Flores was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting a 153:09 scoreless streak in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. Flores recorded her second solo shutout of the season in a 2-0 win at Wesley, making two saves. She then made two more stops in just over 63 minutes of action in a 4-0 shutout win at Marymount.

In the Oct. 21 NCAA South Atlantic Regional rankings, Christopher Newport is No. 6 and Salisbury is No. 8 ... Christopher Newport became the first CAC team to break into the national rankings last week, landing at No. 25 in the D3soccer.com poll ... With one game remaining in the regular season, the six-team CAC Tournament field is set, with exact seedings yet to be determined ... Christopher Newport (7-1) and St. Mary's (7-1) have locked up the top two seeds and first-round byes, while Frostburg State (5-1-2) and Salisbury (5-2-1) will both host first round contests. Mary Washington (4-3-1) and York (4-4) have secured the final two postseason bids ... CNU won eight straight games before suffering a loss at Roanoke on Sunday ... Frostburg State's Erin Worthman tallied two goals and one assist in the Bobcats' 7-0 win over Wesley. Worthman ranks fourth in the CAC with 27 points ...
