UC Santa Cruz and Christopher Newport Obtain NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Berths

UC Santa Cruz and Christopher Newport were selected to represent the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) in the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship, with the 64-team field announced Monday (Nov. 11).
UCSC (10-2-5) earned the conference's automatic bid with a 2-0 victory over CNU on Sunday (Nov. 10). The Banana Slugs open the championship at Pomona-Pitzer. The winner moves to the second round versus Cal Lutheran or Trinity (TX).
CNU (15-1-2) earned an at-large bid and will host John Jay in the first round. The winner will face either Vassar or St. Mary's (Md.) in the second round.
Sixteen four-team sites will conduct first- and second-round play on the first weekend of the championship, November 15 and 16 or 16 and 17. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites November 22 and 23 or 23 and 24. All games, except the semifinals and final, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. Winners of the four sectionals will advance to the semifinals December 6 and 8, at Peter Johann Memorial Field in Las Vegas, Nevada, with UNLV and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority serving as hosts.
