YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington senior Stephanie Hallock was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3, 2015.

Mary Washington senior Stephanie Hallock was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after helping the Eagles to a 5-0 start with five individual victories and seven relay wins in the Eagles' opening two weeks of the season. The reigning CAC Swimmer of the Year, Hallock won the 50 and 100 freestyles against Washington & Lee, the 200 freestyle against Catholic, the 50 and 100 freestyles in a tri-meet with Frostburg State and Franciscan, and also contributed to seven relay wins. Hallock's top time in the 50 freestyle (24.65) ranks 13th in the nation, while her top 100 freestyle mark (53.99) ranks 20th.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

All six CAC squads have opened their 2015-16 campaigns, with Mary Washington (5-0) and Marymount (2-0) sporting unblemished records ... Mary Washington, Marymount and Salisbury are 1-0 in CAC meets ... Frostburg State's Maddie Weinberger has totaled seven wins in four meets and remains undefeated in the 100 breastsroke, winning the event in all four meets this fall. She holds the nation's 39th fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.73) and also has two wins in the 50-meter breaststroke ... Marymount's Morgan Alston led the Saints to a 2-0 start as they swept a tri-meet with a 104-101 victory over the St. Mary's and a 137-68 decision over Goucher. Alston collected top finishes in the 200 IM (2:15.22), 200 backstroke (2:16.14) and 200 breaststroke (2:32.19). Her 200 breaststroke mark is 29th nationally and her 200 IM time is 33rd ... In a 1-1 week for St. Mary's, Cara Machlin won two gold medals. Machlin picked up her individual gold in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.52 while being part of the winning 400 freestyle relay. The 400 free relay time is the fastest in the CAC while her times in both the 1,000 freestyle and 200 fly are the second fastest times in the CAC ... Salisbury's Victoria Radcliffe has five individual victories on the season in two meets ... York freshman Andrea Sturgis made an immediate impact for the Spartans in her first two collegiate meets. In a win over Elizabethtown, she won the 200 freestyle individually and combined for a 200 freestyle relay win in 1:44.87, less than three seconds off the school record. Against Salisbury, she against captured individual gold in the 200 freestyle and teamed up for a 400 freestyle relay victory.
