CAC Earns 59 USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees

All-Region honorees for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Sunday (May 19) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). A total of 59 standouts from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) achieved all-region status, including 30 male and 29 female honorees.

Salisbury led the CAC with 22 selections, while Penn State Harrisburg collected 11 honorees. Mary Washington notched a total of 10 individuals to the distinction list as Christopher Newport garnered seven all-region awards with Southern Virginia receiving six selections. Frostburg State added three all-region selections to round of the conference contingent.

A total of 1,460 All-Region honors were handed out to 192 different member institutions. There was a near-even split between the genders as women combined for 740 of the honors, compared to 720 for the men.

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay teams.

A total of 1,915 honors were handed out to athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions, which included a near-even split between men's (951) and women's programs (964).
