ST. MARY’S CITY, MD - Salisbury University, the three-time defending Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champion placed five runners on the women’s cross country All-CAC teams as released today by the conference office.

The Salisbury University men's and women's cross country teams repeated as Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champions at the 2006 CAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon. The University of Mary Washington finished second in both the men's and women's championships.

Mary Washington junior Ann Tripp (Richmond,VA/St. Catherine’s) has been named as the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 15. This is the second time this season that Tripp has been honored with this award.
