Senior shortstop Rob Benedict (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) became the first Wesley College baseball player to be named Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year and leads the 2012 All-CAC baseball team. Benedict, one of a trio of three-time CAC all-stars on the 2012 all-star squad, is one of a CAC-leading five Wolverines to be honored by the conference coaches this year.

The coaches from the three teams still alive in the 2012 CAC Baseball Championship Tournament agreed Saturday night to postpone the final two games of the event to April 28 because of the stormy weather predicted for the Salisbury area for Sunday. However, that didn't happen until after the host Sea Gulls won twice to advance to the championship game.
