Frostburg State senior Christian March was named the CAC Athlete of the Week after posting a pair of wins, meet and school records, and NCAA B-Cut times at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. March won the 200-yard breaststroke in a meet and school record and NCAA B-Cut time of 2:02.96. That time ranks fourth in Division III this season. In the 100-yard breaststroke, March set another meet and school record, and hit another NCAA C-Cut time in 55.83. That time ranks sixth in the nation. He also took third place in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.41, which is the top time in the CAC.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Four CAC teams competed last week ... Marymount went 1-1 in dual meets, defeating Gallaudet 96-77 before dropping a 129-73 meet to Randolph-Macon ... St. Mary's fell to Washington College and was edged by McDaniel, 58-55, last week. Senior Kieran Broder led the Seahawks with three first-place finishers in the two meets in the 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and the 100 individual medley ... York freshman Keven Stahl had another big week with four more school records and a pair of NCAA B-Cuts at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Stahl began his weekend with a second-place finish in the 1650 free as he notched a time of 16:02.78 for a new school record and an NCAA B cut. His first 1000 meters were also good enough to set a new Spartan school record. On Saturday, Stahl finished second in the 400 IM with a school record time of 4:02.28. That time was also an NCAA B-Cut. On Sunday, Stahl finished fourth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:36.55 which was a new school record. Stahl owns the top times in the CAC in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, the 100 fly and the 200 fly.
