University of Mary Washington junior attack Catherine Kennedy (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Lutheran), who led the conference in goals scored in each of the past three years, was named the 2011 Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year and earned her third-straight first-team berth on the All-CAC Women’s Lacrosse team. Kennedy, one of a CAC-best eight Eagles named to the 2011 All-CAC squad, is the second UMW player in the conference’s 17-year women’s lacrosse history to be selected by the coaches as the Player of the Year.
